The CSV problem
Downloading leads once a day guarantees that some enquiries wait twenty hours for a first response. In a competitive market that is enough time for the buyer to have visited someone else's site.
Real-time delivery is not a nice-to-have. It is the difference between a contactable lead and a record in a spreadsheet.
What a good integration handles
Delivery within seconds via webhook. Retry logic for when the receiving system is briefly unavailable, so leads queue rather than vanish. Field mapping that carries campaign, ad set and creative into the CRM. Deduplication so a repeat enquiry does not become two salespeople calling the same person. Validation that catches obviously invalid phone numbers at the point of capture.
Most integrations handle the first item and none of the rest, which is why they appear to work until the day they quietly do not.
Attribution has to travel with the lead
If the campaign name does not reach the CRM, no report produced later can reconstruct it. Capture attribution at the point of entry, store it on the lead record, and keep it attached through every stage change to closure.
Close the loop back to the platform
Once the CRM knows which leads converted, that outcome should flow back to Meta and Google as offline conversions. The platforms then optimise toward buyers rather than toward form-fillers.
